Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife – "W3" artfully combines renowned beverage tastings and inspired cuisine from some of the South’s best and award-winning chefs, an esteemed group of masters from all walks of life.   From master distillers, master chefs, master wildlife researchers and famous pitmasters, to Georgia’s only Master Sommelier, Michael McNeill.


Our inaugural event featured an impressive list of talent including: Ron Eyester and Kenny Gilbert, from Bravo’s “Top Chef”, Laura Lyn Carter, GPB TV host, five master distillers and some of the Golden Isles’ best culinary, including Southern Soul Barbecue, Halyards, The Farmer & The Larder, Sea Island Resorts, the Jekyll Island Club Hotel, The Westin Jekyll Island and a group of renowned southern chefs from Atlanta, Savannah, Jacksonville and Charleston.


Our 2017 event promises to be just as exciting and talent laden as the first. Jekyll Island’s exquisite natural beauty has long drawn guests to its barrier shores.  From the millionaires of America’s golden age and their vibrant history with the Jekyll Island Club, to today’s stunning new oceanfront convention center and newly revitalized Beach Village with shopping, dining and beach promenade, that also includes The Westin Jekyll Island.

Plan some time to discover or rediscover Jekyll Island’s pristine beauty and ecosystem, as you taste your way through this gourmand getaway. Whether it’s a walk on the Great Dunes Beach and Driftwood Beach, or a tour of the historic district, Jekyll Island Club and Sea Turtle Center, you simply won’t have enough time to see and do everything in one weekend. You will be planning your return visit before you leave!

about the JEKYLL ISLAND foundation

Surrounded by picturesque marshes and breathtaking oceanfront, Georgia’s smallest barrier island is a very peaceful coastal habitat. The weekend’s events benefit the Jekyll Island Foundation and the island’s research and education experts will be on-hand, showcasing some fun, interactive programs with coastal wildlife, from sea turtles to alligators. It’s a culinary weekend experience like no other.


The Jekyll Island Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that serves to assist with the conservation, education, and preservation of the Island. Many Foundation initiatives support the Georgia Sea Turtle Center and the Jekyll Island Authority Conservation Program. Recent successes include funding for the new wildlife viewing area and trail at Horton Pond as well as nesting shorebird and Diamondback Terrapin research.

Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife is a culinary destination weekend with collaboration between The Westin Jekyll Island, the Jekyll Island Authority and The AdFish Group.  The weekend’s events will raise funds and awareness for programs of the Jekyll Island Foundation, with a mission of conservation, education and historic preservation efforts on Jekyll Island.
