Join us for the official W3 festival kick-off celebration with a fabulous, multi-course, wine-paired dinner. Master Sommelier, Michael McNeill, of The Winebow Group will be our special guest, along with Culinary Olympian guest chef Raj Gupta from the Westin Nova Scotian in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Tom Gray from Jacksonville Florida, twice nominated as "Best Chef South" by the James Beard awards. They join Skip Worden, Executive Chef of The Westin Jekyll Island and The Westin culinary team for a feast for all the senses! This is a limited seating event.

This popular event was an early sell-out last year. Guests will delight in this Whiskey Wine & Wildlife wine cruise with Captain Phillip. Tour the enchanting waters that surround Jekyll Island and engage in this most unique wine tasting experience. The cruise will embark at 11:00 am from the public wharf located opposite the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. Along with the wine tastings, guests will be able to indulge in some light food preparations as they experience a different perspective of beautiful Jekyll Island, coupled with the insights and "local" knowledge that only Captain Phillip can render.

“W3 Master Class Pours"

Whiskey Wine & Wildlife will present a series of 3 educational classes and seminars, presented by a selection of our participating talent. Our W3 Master Class Pours will appeal to all persons whether you are a novice, an expert or just someone who enjoys the opportunity to get up close and personal with these talented masters and have a little fun. Not to be missed, these classes sell out quickly and have limited ticket availability.

1:00 pm: Class 1

  • Georgia’s very own Master Sommelier Michael McNeill welcomes you to kick-off the Whiskey, Wine & Wildlife weekend savoring some supreme wine selections. A two-time national champion of the “Best Sommelier in America,” Michael is sure to have some exciting and unique bottlings for you to sample. Bring those head scratching grape-related questions you’ve been stock piling because we guarantee Michael has the answers (along with some great wine too)!

2:00 pm: Class 2

  • Get a little wild with a selection of craft brews from Savannah’s own Kevin Ryan of Service Brewing Co. paired alongside some certifiably tasty and unique burgers from burger king Chef David Carrier of Certified Burgers & Beverage of St. Simons Island, GA. Both Kevin and David like to think outside the box when it comes to the flavors they create, and this class will be no exception. Don’t miss out on this savory culinary combo.

3:00 pm: Class 3

  • The only thing better in life than a glass of wine is a glass of wine paired with a perfectly paired dish. Indulge in this simple pleasure with Ste Michelle Wine Estates as they pour some of their favorite varietals alongside thoughtfully crafted dishes, by Executive Chef, Skip Worden and The Westin culinary team.

4:00 pm: Class 4

  • The perfect ending to an afternoon of imbibing, the Brown Forman Family will be sharing the flavors of two of their most distinct Whiskey Families – Woodford Reserve Bourbon Whiskey and BenRiach Scotch Whisky.  Attendees will discover the breadth of the whiskey world as they sample some of the best small batch Kentucky straight bourbons from Woodford alongside the single malt whiskey of BenRiach out of Scotland.  This informative and tasty session will be the ideal warm-up for the evening’s Whiskey Inspired!

The main event will combine our three Ws and more for the perfect island afternoon. Enjoy the soulful sounds of Laiken Love & Fellowship of Love oceanfront, while tasting culinary delights and a variety of beverages in a souvenir Glencairn whisky glass. It’s a full afternoon of stages with cooking and wildlife demonstrations, music and more. The silent auction features great packages, with art, travel, and food and drink packages that benefit the Jekyll Island Foundation.

The grand finale brunch will be the Westin’s culinary team showcase – with Champagne, whiskey cocktails, Bloody Mary Bar, culinary delights and more, enjoy our legendary finale, all the while taking in the laid back beach vibe.

NOTE: Brunch seating tickets will be on a first come, first served basis. Groups of 6+ should make advance reservations to ensure same table seating. Seatings will be staged by the following times:
